Aug 29 Binti Release: Good Causes Update, API Enhancements, and More

Improvements

Licensing

• The Good Causes Report will now generate prompts to log a good cause at 120 days instead of 90 days. This change aligns with legislative requirements in several jurisdictions, providing better compliance and support. This update applies only to agencies utilizing the Good Causes feature.

• We have updated our database of phone number area codes. This update ensures that numbers with newly issued area codes can now be entered into Binti without errors.

API

• The GET /applications endpoint now returns the physical address associated with each application. This enhancement streamlines data retrieval and improves workflow efficiency.

• When accessing application documents via the API, the results now include a direct link to the file in Binti. This improvement streamlines document retrieval, making it faster and easier for users to access necessary files.

Platform

• A new permission has been added to control whether agency workers can move an application to ‘Ready for Review’ status. This enhancement helps agencies ensure that only authorized personnel can advance applications, improving the accuracy and integrity of the review process. This update applies only to agencies utilizing the 'Ready for Review' status.

• [FIX] When filtering by status with the GET /applications endpoint, you will now only see applications with the status you are filtering for. Previously, the status filter was not applied and all applications were visible.
